Job content
- You are responsible for creating mechanical designs based on mechanical specifications and to the idea of the client and Lead Design engineer, within a set budget.
- You work on request of the client, but you also think in a general way about product adjustments.
- Working out structural improvements in the design with the aim of reducing costs and implementing innovation.
- You report directly to the Lead Design Engineer.
- Evaluate projects based on technical and financial risks.
- You will be in direct contact with customers and suppliers.
- Monitoring production, assembly and quality control.
- Drafting manuals and other administrative tasks through the ERP system.
- Providing technical advice to customers and sales.
Profile
- Your specialisation is mainly in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor) or you have experience in product development/ machine or equipment construction.
- You have a hands-on mentality and enjoy responsibility.
- You are a creative/innovative thinker with a sense for accuracy and quality.
- You are a team player and courageous to take on a challenge.
- Knowledge of the current Microsoft office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of drawing software preferably Inventor.
- Experience in reading complex drawings.
- Language skills: Dutch and English considering the international work environment. French is an enormous added advantage.
